Community classes, activities and events for older people.

Wheel Meet Again encourages older members of the community to take part in activities and social events.

Wheel Meet Again Over 50’s Project run a number of monthly activities each day to keep you entertained, busy and educated!

The event timetable can be found at the bottom of this page.

Regular activities


  • 10am - 3pm Computer basics, email, social media. Free.


  • 10am - 12pm Knit & Natter - Informal knitting and crochet group £2
  • 11am - 1:30pm Indoor Bowls at Edge Hill Youth Club. Indoor Bowls plus dinner. £1.50
  • 2pm - 4pm Ukulele lesson - Learn to play well-known songs on the uke. £2


  • 10am - 3pm I.T/Job Club - Computer basics, Universal Jobmatch. Free
  • 11:30am - 12:30pm Chair-based exercise at Edge Hill Youth Club with Healthiness Ltd. £2


  • 10am - 3pm Pamper Day - Hair nails, facials and massage. £1.50 per treatment and £2 for lunch.


  • 10am - 12pm Quiz morning. £2
  • 2pm - 4pm Arts and Crafts. Weaving, painting, card making, etc. £2

Sunday 20th August
Club Bingo 3000, Huyton Evening Session

Monday 21st August
Blue Swan Boat Cruise Leaving the Garage at 2.45pm and returning home at 6.30pm - Canal boat tour, Burscough. Return minibus travel. £12

Friday 25th August
Bury Market 9.00am – 4.00pm - Return minibus travel. £5

Sunday 27th August
Birkenhead Priory Leaving at 11am, return 3pm approx. Chance to explore and enjoy the oldest standing building on Merseyside. Experience the wonder of this 850 year old site. £3.

Digital Hub

We are a Union Learn Digital Hub. People can learn how to use the internet at our IT classes and use the internet at our Over 50s Job Club. It may be possible to arrange to use the computers outside of class times. Please ask.


If you have a few hours a week to spare and would like to register with us to assist with the project, we would welcome the opportunity to enrol you on our team.

We encourage and assist volunteers in gaining training and qualifications whilst working with us with assistance on hand to help you find paid employment.

If you are retired and simply wish to help out please contact us on number shown. Share your skills, from knitting to escorting a less mobile person, all volunteers welcome!
