Community classes, activities and events for older people.

Wheel Meet Again encourages older members of the community to take part in activities and social events.

Wheel Meet Again Over 50’s Project run a number of monthly activities each day to keep you entertained, busy and educated!

  • IT Drop in, 10am - 3pm, free
  • Mindfulness


  • Knit & Natter, 11am - 1pm (please note change of time), £2
  • Ukulele, 1pm - 4pm (1pm - 2pm is a lesson, followed by a jam/singalong), £2
  • Gardening


  • IT Drop in, 10am - 2.30pm, free
  • Creative Writing, 3pm - 5pm £2


  • Pamper Day, Toxteth Town Hall, 10am - 2pm, £1.50 treatments, £2 lunch


  • Arts and Crafts, 2pm - 4pm, DCLP. £2


  • Chinese Buffet, 12pm - 3.30pm, £12


  • Club Bingo 3000, 11am £2 - £13, £2 lunch available

As usual, if you require transport, please ring the office by 12pm the day before (or on Friday if it's for the Monday).

Comedy Morning - Friday 27th July

Limited spaces £5 per person. The garage between 10am—12pm.

Picnic in New Brighton - Saturday 28th July

Leaving Tesco park Road Car Park at 11.30am and returning home at 4pm. £3 per person

WMA Has Talent—Dress Rehearsal - Friday 10th August

10am—12pm at SAMs (opposite the Garage)

Brimstage Hall Saturday 11th August

Leaving Tesco car park at 11.15 am and returning at 3pm. £4 (plus transport if required)

Fleetwood Market Saturday 15th September

Leaving the garage at 10am, returning 4pm. £5 (plus transport if required). If you need to hire a mobility scooter, please see the office in advance.

Digital Hub

We are a Union Learn Digital Hub. People can learn how to use the internet at our IT classes and use the internet at our Over 50s Job Club. It may be possible to arrange to use the computers outside of class times. Please ask.


If you have a few hours a week to spare and would like to register with us to assist with the project, we would welcome the opportunity to enrol you on our team.

We encourage and assist volunteers in gaining training and qualifications whilst working with us with assistance on hand to help you find paid employment.

If you are retired and simply wish to help out please contact us on number shown. Share your skills, from knitting to escorting a less mobile person, all volunteers welcome!

You can turn up or call the centre for more information. Door to Door Transport is available for mobility restricted residents (phone by 12pm the day before). To qualify for the subsidised transport, please have a health care professional sign the registration form at the bottom of this web page.
