Age Concern Liverpool & Sefton Services: Community Health Ambassador Team (CHAT) - Wellbeing Events

Description

Helping people and communities improve their health.

The Community Health Ambassador Team (CHAT) is dedicated to improving the health of Liverpool’s communities. Our aim is to work with people in their local area, encouraging them to have an active and healthy lifestyle, especially with individuals and families who would find it more difficult to do so.

We also help community groups and organisations of all sizes to address the health issues that are relevant in their community. We build on the good things which already exist in communities and help communities to help themselves.

From providing support and guidance on simple healthier lifestyle and wellbeing choices, CHAT can also help by:

  • Facilitating  health events, such as workshops, presentations and demonstrations

  • Bringing in specialist partner services such as Smokefree, Community Foods, holistic therapists and many more to promote an active and healthy lifestyle

We can also support groups and individuals by offering access to:

  • Lifestyle events and signposting

  • Health & wellbeing activity sessions

  • Healthy eating classes

  • Walking clubs in the local area

  • Cycling clubs in the local area

  • Debt reduction and money management services

  • Screening services that detect early signs of ill health
