Social activities for Older People.

Our Poppy Centre is a perfect place to make new friends and have a break from routine. Our staff provide support and encouragement to help new visitors settle in quickly and make new friends.  Every day the Poppy Centre offers a freshly cooked 3 course meal and snacks\refreshments all made on-site by our chef.

  • Gardening on raised beds
  • Bingo and hoy
  • Puzzles and games
  • Summer barbecues on the patio in the gardens
  • Mindfulness and relaxation

  • Chatting and laughing with new friends

The service is suitable for retired people who need a little support, for example we will cut food up for clients to make it more manageable for them and will blend food when necessary (e.g. for clients recovering from strokes).

It is not suitable for people who need personal care (e.g. toileting, lifting, bathing etc.) or people with moderate to severe dementia.
